In the past 2 weeks, we trained another generation of students and junior scientists in mass spectrometry-based proteomics including hands-on sample preparation, mass spectrometry data generation, data analysis and functional data mining in an interactive bioinformatics practice. This was the first year that PhD students of the Oncology Graduate School Amsterdam joined in, many bringing their own samples for analysis during the course. It was of course great to perform the practical part in our new lab in the RDC-Adore building.
A big thanks to all contributing team members of the OncoProteomics Laboratory: Sander Piersma, Thang Pham, Richard de Haas, Irene Bijnsdorp, Franziska Bottger and guest lecturer Diederik Kuster, PhD Kuster, a long-term OPL collaborator.
