Valentina received her bachelor’s degree in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Milan (Italy) in 2014 and her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Leiden University in February, 2017. After working in the oncology division of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research in Basel (Switzerland), she joined the OPL in October 2017 as a PhD student working on a joint project with the T-ALL group (Dr. J.P.P. Meijerink) of the Prinses Máxima Center for pediatric oncology (Utrecht). The aim of her project is to identify biomarkers of response to high precision-cancer medicines in pediatric T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia by whole-genome sequencing and phosphoproteomics.
